The advertising laws are every bit as tough for dentists as they are for physicians and surgeons. Be that as it may, we created some exceptionally memorable and effective work for the Durham group – turning a sleepy suburban practice into a formidable regional player.     

Ageless in Toronto, HealthCare 365

I have helped build several other medical, health and wellness brands, nurturing them from start-up status to dominant players in their respective categories. These include The Cosmetic Surgery Hospital's 'Ageless in Toronto' clinic and Healthcare 365 – which is my own primary care facility. I named it. I branded it. Their doctors continually probe me for advertising solutions and, well, other things.

Dr. Bernstein's Radio Campaign:

We realized that as head of Canada's largest MD Weight Loss organization, it was to Dr. B's great advantage to position him as the leading medical authority in the field. Radio was an ideal medium to present him 'professorially'. He discusses the facts, dispels the myths, and offers real hope to frustrated overweight people.

Dr. Seagrist's SpaMed

SpaMed introduced their novel concept of a Medical Spa that offered MD based beauty treatment protocols, packages and products. We designed the corporate ID and a host of collateral materials shown here. We launched with radio promos, newspaper, billboard and PR.

• Is it safe?

• Why are Dr. Bernstein's programs different?

• How to prevent rebound weight gain?

These questions were answered authoritatively on these TV spots, and we even had a little fun with Mike Bullard.

Dr. Bernstein Health & Diet Clinics

Fifteen years ago, we began making the Dr. Bernstein Health & Diet Clinics a household name. We devised long-term multi-discipline strategies comprised of traditional and non-traditional image-building initiatives. The campaigns were built on above-the-line, below-the-line, online, OOH, PR, recruitment, training procedures, call centre development and all collaterals (newsletters, brochures, manuals, and a comprehensive recipe book). We helped solidify Dr. Bernstein’s public persona as an innovator and medical pioneer, and his clinics'

 

reputation as the preferred choice for those wanting a safe, medically supervised weight loss solution. One of the greatest challenges was compliance with the advertising rules of the various Canadian Medical Colleges and the US State Boards. They all have different standards and many harbour great skepticism towards advertising claims and testimonials. Our job was to navigate through these complex bureaucracies, thus delivering an uninterrupted flow of fresh campaigns for Dr. Bernstein's North American markets.
